Here at SMG we have an exciting opportunity for a Client Manager to join the Lobster team based in London.
Lobster is a new type of shopper agency, combining technology, data science and media buying to increase our clients’ return on investment over time.
We use a unique platform, developed in-house, called Plan-Apps, designed to make our clients' lives easier across all stages of shopper media execution. With its database of over 2,000 media evaluations Plan-Apps is data rich and looks to clearly show where the best investment by retailer, channel and category lies.
Engagement with Plan-Apps and Lobster as a whole is strong and today, we work with a vast array of industry-leading FMCGs including: Unilever, PepsiCo, Mars Wrigley, Mars Foods, pladis, Ferrero, Arla, Weetabix and more.
Reporting into the Client Director, you'll play an important part in helping define the strategic direction of our business.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Client Management – managing commercial relationships across high value, developed clients
Technology engagement – ensure Plan-Apps is truly embedded within our clients’ businesses: seek high usage, deliver training and strong retention rates
Content Creation – ownership of all outbound content to clients within your stewardship including but not limited to: media recommendations, evaluation results and insight; bespoke consultancy work
New Business – supporting the generation and delivery of new business to ensure we hit ambitious growth targets
Team Management – managing team member(s) with varying experience, assigning their resource to ownership areas within the team.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, who is ambitious, highly commercial and eager to learn about our industry with speed.

A proven track record in delivering business growth in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
3.5+ years’ experience in a client facing role
People management experience
A strong grip of numbers, able to work seamlessly with data & financial reporting
A positive and enthusiastic attitude in all environments, with a strong will to succeed
Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver best-in-class client service
