Describe your role in a nutshell..
Keeping on top of financial targets and reporting, approving client proposals, reviews and handovers, maintaining a total view of upcoming funding opportunities, ensuring the team are seeking new and innovative campaign concepts to propose to suppliers, aligning supplier funded activity with internal Shop Direct teams such as Buying and Trading.
Tell us what you enjoy most about working here?
Seeing campaign proposals come to life and (on the whole) deliver a positive return for both Shop Direct and the supplier.
What aspects of your role keep you challenged and curious?
When suppliers request proposals to unlock funding against innovative initiatives and the constant requirement to keep my team motivated towards achieving often stretching targets.
Which of the four SMG values resonates most with you and why?
Stay Foolish..as an in house agency at Shop Direct, it's our job to propose and implement the things that others aren't brave enough to do!
What is the most useful piece of advice you've received since joining SMG?
Always ensure you build strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
